Information, not professional advice

The Site publishes general information about water heaters. It is not plumbing, electrical or gas advice for your home, and it does not replace an inspection by a licensed professional. Work on gas lines, gas valves, electrical wiring and relief valves can be dangerous and may require a permit and a licensed plumber. If you smell gas, leave the building and call your gas utility or 911 from outside.

Accuracy and corrections

We research every page, cite our sources and show the date each page was last reviewed. Prices, rebates, codes and rules change, and we can make mistakes. Check important facts with the source we cite or with a licensed professional before you rely on them. If you find an error, tell us; we review safety and legal reports within 2 business days and all others within 7 days.

Referral service

Water Heater Facts is a referral service, not a plumbing company. When you request a quote we may connect you with one independent business after naming it to you. That business, not us, provides any service, sets its prices and is responsible for its work, licensing, permits and warranty. Independent businesses may pay us for introductions. We do not guarantee any contractor's work.

Acceptable use

Do not submit false information, submit requests for someone else without their permission, scrape the Site in a way that harms its operation, or use it for anything unlawful.

Content

Text, tables, data and graphics on the Site belong to Strive LeadGen LLC unless credited otherwise. You may quote short passages with a link back. Manufacturer and product names belong to their owners and are used only to identify products; we are not affiliated with any manufacturer.

Disclaimer and limit of liability

The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the fullest extent the law allows, Strive LeadGen LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or from work performed by any contractor, and our total liability for any claim is limited to $100.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your state of residence requires otherwise.
